TWENTY YEARS IN THE TRENCHES

I started building for the web before WordPress had a dashboard. Before React. Before the cloud was a thing anyone said out loud.

Two decades of code. Enterprise clients. Impossible deadlines. Teams that needed direction. Products that needed to ship.

NBA. Microsoft. Campbell’s Soup. Care.com. Not logo drops. Real work. Real architecture. Real results that moved real numbers.

Then the universe decided to test the foundation.

A stroke. Then an MS diagnosis. Wheelchair. Hospital beds. Doctors telling me what I couldn’t do anymore.

They were wrong.

I went from a wheelchair to a marathon finish line. Not a metaphor. 26.2 miles. On my own legs.

That’s not inspiration porn. That’s a fact. And it rewired how I approach everything. Code. Business. Life.

No excuses. No shortcuts. No quit.

Stroke at 37. MS two months later. Wheelchair to marathon. Still building systems that do not quit.
